With a last name like Doggett, how could this guy not be right for the job? Evan Doggett has been a life-long dog lover. His first job was walking two Australian shepherds. For years he thought the RCMP K-9 unit would be his career path. After high school he traveled the globe for three years, having dogs in his life everywhere he went. Doggett traded in his travel backpack for a school backpack and returned home to Nova Scotia where he attended StFX University. Having learnt the value in formal education, Evan decided to invest and enrolled in Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer’s Dog Training course in California, February of 2012. This opportunity affirmed Evan’s passion and desire to become one of the best dog trainers.
After graduating from university, Evan continued his dog training education by moving to British Columbia. There he trained hunting dogs, rehabilitated aggressive dogs, taught dock diving, and learned how to groom. Wanting to learn more about nutrition and its effects on dogs, Evan then went to Virginia, USA to learn from one of the world leaders in the matter, Wendy Volhard. During this time of study Doggett also got to learn from some of America’s best trainers.
Evan is a life-long-learner and therefore had the desire to partner with the amazing team at Unleashed Potential. He is excited to keep learning about the balanced approach to dog training in his pursuit of becoming one of the best. With all of his extensive education and experience, Evan is a well-rounded dog trainer and he is eager to share his knowledge with dog owners that want to learn more and Unleash their dog’s Potential.
