A huge thank you to Duke and Lindsay of Unleashed Potential K9 PEI for giving us the tools we need to help Jacob and Marlee become all that they were meant to be. While their training will be ongoing they have come so far in only 3 sessions. Despite several people telling us that they would not make good companion dogs because of their high drive to follow a scent they are proving everyone wrong. The training we received has helped them to focus on us and the task at hand while they ignore their surroundings. This has saved, and will probably in the future, save their lives.

Without their help they were destined to be returned to where we got them from. Now there is no chance they will ever be anywhere but by our sides. They still have training ahead of them to fine tune a few things but they follow all the commands they’re given and have not “gone off on a hunt” once.

We have and will continue to recommend Unleashed Potential K9 Academy to anyone who is looking for some help with their dog. It has been worth every penny and every minute.

Bosco’s Story, UPK9 PEI, Ultimate Obedience Testimonial

“Bosco is a wonderful, loving dog, who enjoys being around people. He possesses a large amount of energy and loves to play and run. However, at times, this energy has manifested as aggression and even disobedience. The biggest reason I searched out Duke Ferguson at Unleashed Potential K9 Academy was because I had exhausted all my avenues for attempting to curb Bosco’s unwanted behaviours. Through private consultation, Duke was able to tailor a plan for Bosco that met his unique needs. Specifically, Bosco was so stressed in the beginning of training that he did not have a strong drive for food. What worked for us was using his toys to train. Now, when I bring out the e-collar he understands that its time to do something fun but that he has to listen and be mindful of his behaviour! Proven Results: Only One Dog Training Lesson With Unleashed Potential

I always Love to see the look on peoples faces when they come for their first lesson and they are amazed in how much success they get in just the first 10 – 20 minutes especially if they have seen other dog trainers. It is a part of my job that I love!

Here is an email I got from our last nights lesson. See below:

“Last night was our first dog training lesson at Unleashed Potential K9 training In Stratford PEI with Duke Ferguson, and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!! 🙂
We went into last night with a dog who pulled on his leash, followed his hound nose and didn’t always come when he was called. The dog we left with after the lesson would stay by your side, responded when you said his name and came when he was called. He responded very well to Duke and his methods of training.
We have had Desmond for almost 2 years and have tried a couple different trainers trying to find the right fit for us, our dog and what he responds to. Last night consultation/lesson was the first time Desmond responded to and worked with someone other than my husband and I, he always seemed timid of other trainers but with Duke, Desmond warmed up to him quickly and we were able to start our training right away and didn’t have to wait for Desmond to adjust to another human.
We found last night very informative, and can’t wait to go back to our next lesson. We are looking forward to having a dog we can take with us where ever we go and not have to worry about him misbehaving around strangers and eventually children in and out of our home. Thank You Duke!! “

Board and Train St. Bernard with Duke Ferguson

Dozer the St. Bernard completes a board and train program with master dog trainer and CEO of Unleashed Potential, Duke Ferguson. This St. Bernard was described as being the boss in his household. After the board and train program, Dozer is now a member of a very happy family.

Watch as the family of this wonderful St. Bernard explains how he was before AND see how he is now after training! Happy, calm (with self control and exercise), Obedient and a pleasure to be around.
Dozer came to us with some serious jealousy issues, now he’s excellent around the baby, able to heel easily on a walk beside the stroller.
