Unleashed Potential has some of the most extensive programs in North America for training and for the rehabilitation of aggression in dogs. Regardless of the type of breed or aggression issue, we have worked with thousands of dogs around the world with very high rates of success
Have you ever been kicked out of an obedience class because your dog was barking aggressively at other dogs? Do you avoid dog parks because your dog will bite other dogs? Do you avoid having people over to your house because your dogs makes it difficult to enjoy your company? Maybe you have been to several other trainers who claimed they could help you and were not able to?

We can help! Talk is cheap and almost any trainer will tell you the same thing , but we produce videos and many testimonials to prove it. Please take the time to check out our Youtube page and testimonials.
Here is a little advice: Talk is cheap, don't take any dog trainer or any behaviourists word for it. Do your homework first. Meet the trainer, See their dog, look at the testimonials and ask for references you can talk to.
We often get people who have been to other obedience classes in group settings to try and fix their dogs aggression only to be stressed out and removed from the class. We feel this is not the way to start the process and can make things worse. At Unleashed Potential we start the training process by first teaching you and your dog in one on one private training lessons and later we add the group classes or distractions when you and the dog are ready. We also see people who have seen other trainers who say to use positive reinforcement "ONLY" and if it does not work to put the dog to sleep. They tell the people to not say No to the dog, to not use corrections, pressure or to use neck collars because they make the dog worse. This is bad advice and and is far form the truth.
Positive reinforcement is needed in training and we believe in using a high rate of it in all of our programs but when using positive reinforcement alone, it fails in many situations. Our programs include about 80% positive reinforcement but we also believe in using negative reinforcement, corrections and punishment when needed, to create a balance to the training and make it most successful. If a trainer starts to tell you Positive only this and positive only that we advise you to run. 🙂
Training the dogs are actually the easy part. The most important thing we focus on is teaching you, the owner /trainer and handler what to do, why to do, when to do and how to do. We find that when you are educated, and develop some news skills, the dogs adjust very well to training and the rehab process.
We believe starting with private training one on one makes this the best possible way to achieve greatest results, but private training is only the beginning. The final step is group class and real world training to kick things up a notch and get you and the dog closer to proofing things and achieving your goal.
After private training, our group class and real world training is designed to mimic the normal, real life situations in which you bring your dog to a dog park or out on a walk where ever you go.
When we first meet our potential client in the demo/consult, they often tell us there is no way they will ever be able to go to a park or out on a walk with their dog. After signing up and applying what we teach they are often blown away with the results on and off leash.
It is possible, and we achieve very high success rates with thousands of clients and dogs! Every day!
With most of our UPK9 locations group classes are included for the lifetime of the dog. Some locations fees may apply. This service helps a lot and gives you all the support you need to succeed. This way when you see any regression in the training, you can come back any week to make sure the dog is in top form! At Unleashed Potential we care about our reputation, we care about you and your dog and we want you to get the best success possible.
Each upk9 trainer offers the "results based training" (private, group real world) and we have several Unleashed Potential locations in Canada and the USA that can help you with your dog!
