Obedience Training Maintenance ” Working For A Living” Duke when can I feed from the dish again?
For those who know me know I never feed from a dog dish and that I’m an advocate for making the dog work for its meals. To me it only makes sense, in the wild the dog must hunt for a living. Hunting is work, working the body and the brain. Hunting and searching is a natural instinct in the dog and if the dog does not want to hunt then it does not eat because food like rabbits and mice do not come to the dog and sacrifice them selves.
BUT
In the domestic home most family pet dogs get daily food for free as well as all other desired things. The owner goes to work for a living and brings home all the dogs needs. The dog gets everything it wants and it does not have to work for anything. This is in turn creates spoiled rich kid syndrome or puts the dog in a retired millionarre frame of mind.
Who is the boss and who is the slave? LOL!
I created this video for my advanced private coaching clients and my Dog Training Genesis members… but it will be of great value to all who watch it.
Here are some tips on when you can feed from the dog dish again and how you should do it to maintain the dogs obedience and satisfy the dogs instincts.

I have 4 dogs and always a few board and trains. In the beginning it is one on one… but then you can add more dogs once they are all good… drill them all good 5-7 minutes at a time. here is an example on you tube http://youtu.be/Tjb6e656wj4?list=PLA15AEADA3E15CC3E

I have five dogs. How does your system work with that many. Is it always one on one?
