We found Jilly at a rescue in Amherst NS . When we brought her home we quickly found out that she had very bad separation anxiety when she ripped apart our door and door frame. She then started to open windows and jump threw the screen. She escaped numerous times.

We had gone to another trainer who had been training only with pure positive techniques and we quickly realized the training was not going to be affective with our dog because her desire for food was very low.

Rescued Husky Has Unleashed Potential In Bridgewater NS

Rescued Husky has life saving training success!

Itzy is a small energy packed, strong minded Husky mix from SHAID, bought home at ten months old she quickly showed us that she was crazy on leash, ran away from home at every opportunity, had no recall, barked constantly and was destructive in the house and full of nervous and anxious energy, she hardly ate and I realized how stressed out she was not understanding what was expected of her in her new pack.

I had previously clicker trained my other dog (a Lab) and he is good but not perfect, Itzy was responding to some things I taught her but other things seemed out of reach for me, by chance I found out about Unleashed Potential,

Itzy started to learn focus and began almost immediately to settle down, her anxiousness disappearing, we could see the fun loving cheeky little dog she is and the stress levels in our house were replaced with a feeling that we did the right thing adopting her, she is the sort of dog that loves to be exercised not just physically but mentally too and the training gave her that focus she needs, our walks stopped being sabotaged by bad behavior and are now a pleasure, with a dog that I was told would never be able to walk off leash now running freely by my side and playing with my other dog, I can breathe easy knowing she wont end up in the road by accident as she has recall now.

I cannot overstate how happy I am that I found Unleashed Potential and the sense of security and trust it has given me with both my dogs. I now have Happy obedient dogs.

Hound Dog UNLEASHED, Testimonial.

Hound dog off leash chasing scents and coming back when called!

I adopted a rescued hound dog just over 3 years ago. The two of us made good progress together. However, I could not always trust him to return off leash. Scents are his strong focus. Unleashed Potential k9 training helped to make off leash walks possible. I am able to give him the freedom to run in the woods and know that he will return when we are out for a walk.He also had occasional aggressive tendencies that we have also been able to bring under control. “Ace” Rescue Dog From Uganda: UPK9 Life Changing Story

“Ace” a rescue dog escaped death off the streets in Uganda. He was full of mange, Fleas and worms and had absolutely no social skills. As Ace grew older he developed behaviour problems including aggression due to his lack of socialization with other dogs. After trying other trainers and methods to get Ace help his owners brought him to Unleashed Potential.

Months of training with a balanced approach from Unleashed Potential’s Halifax dog Trainer Ted Efthymiadis Ace and his amazing family under went a life changing experience.

Boxer “Bosco” UNLEASHED: Upk9 Halifax

Bosco is our 2 year old Boxer who we have had since he was a puppy. He has always been full of energy no matter what we did with him. As he aged he started to become very disobedient. He would jump on people, take food off the counter and was impossible to walk with his pulling and reactivity to other dogs. When people came to visit he would have to be put away as he would not stop jumping on them.

So we did some training with him with a local Halifax trainer, all positive reinforcement training and it did not change anything. So after a few months we decided to try another trainer who used some corrective methods that helped a bit but was still having a lot of issues.

One day we had Bosco at the dog park and he got into fight with multiple dogs and we ended up at the vet emergency room with him. At this point we decided we needed do something that would work as Bosco was becoming aggressive towards other dogs. We started training Bosco with Ted from Unleashed Potential. After only three lessons we were able to walk him properly on leash, he no longer counter surfed, no longer jumped and when people came to the house he could stay out and meet people the right way. Wow, we were impressed and people thought he was a totally different dog. We have continued on with training and now Bosco can meet other dogs without worrying about making a trip to the vet emergency.

Bosco now spends his days doing whatever we do and was even able to go on vacation with us this summer. Recently we just adopted another adult Boxer and started implementing Ted’s training methods with him as well. This is something that this time last year we would not even dream of. Ted, thank you for allowing Bosco to become part of our lives again, without you, it could not have happened.
