My German Shepherd dog Zeus and I just completed our training with Unleashed Potential and the training was great! . UPK9 helped me turn my dog into a very happy well trained dog who now gets along with others. I could not be more pleased with the results and was worth every penny to have a 120 lbs. of manageable dog. My husband thought I was crazy at first but even in the first lesson he was impressed.

This training is worth the time and effort and money. If your dog is not very social or does not listen call Unleashed Potential and they will give you a more loving friend that you can take with you anywhere.

Boxer Puppy MOXON Testimonial

Boxer Puppy Moxon Testimonial for UPK9 Puppy Management:

Joining puppy management with Unleashed Potential K9 Academy, was the best thing that we could have done for our Boxer puppy Moxon! He learned very quickly the basics with the guidance of Duke and Lindsay; and has built an amazing foundation for success as he grows into a full-grown Boxer! We learned how to communicate with him and leadership skills, how to use proper commands, how to kennel train him, which were the proper chew and play toys, and much, much more!

Not only does Duke teach you the basics to succeed, but weekly socialization is the best thing you could do for your puppy! Having the time to run around and play in a controlled environment with a room full of other puppies was fantastic, and very eye opening!

We also had the opportunity to work with Duke one-on-one to concentrate more on Moxon’s “pulling and tugging” on the leash when we walk him. This was extremely important as we are both active and want to run with him often! This extra service was extremely worthwhile, and there was improvement after a one hour session! PEI Dog Training: Testimonial for UPK9

PEI dog training testimonial of Ginger’s owners regarding the obedience training they received for their dog Ginger:

This is our Saint Bernard Ginger. We got her when she was 6 weeks old.When we first started taking her out for walks she would grab our pant legs and just would not do anything that was asked of her. As she became bigger and more powerful it took my husband and I both just to walk her across the street to the park and even with the two of us holding her she was still able to drag us across the street. We were really thinking we might have to give her away to someone where she could run free on a farm because her behaviour was getting worse and worse and we could not walk her. On the days we would get her out for a walk one of us would come back with a bloody bitten arm where she would grab a hold of our sleeves and go through to our arm. We both have scars from it. Our last hope was to find a dog trainer but even then we thought it wouldn’t help her behaviour problems. We met with Duke and a few weeks later we went out to our first session. I still had doubts at this point.

I was so amazed at the results. I could not believe it was my dog just sitting there while another dog came into the room. Her usual response would be to tackle the dog and make the dog play with her. After we came back from the training center that same night I felt so confident with her that I actually took her for a walk downtown by myself. When we came back I had no blood running down my arm, no bite marks and I walked her without no trouble whatsoever. That was the first time in 3 months I was able to do that. I was so excited when I came home the first thing I did was email Duke with my new found freedom of being able to walk her by myself. We have been training since April 2009 and it has been like a miracle has taken place. She is well behaved now and I can actually let her off the leash in the park and she comes back when she is called. I cannot thank Duke and Nick enough for all there help. I would recommend training with Duke and Staff at Unleashed Potential K9 to anyone and everyone. Walking is such a pleasure now. She is happier since she can get out of the house and I am happier knowing I am in control with the training I received from Duke and his assistant.

Shih Tzus, Tanner and Cooper

Duke,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help. When I came to you my 2 shih tzus (Tanner 6 and Cooper 2) were running my house. I was at my wits end!!! They barked constantly(especially when people came to the door), jumped all over people, pulled on the leash during walks, 1 had aggression issues and barked and nipped us when he wanted to play. Life at home was not pleasant at all.

You were my last hope for these dogs and I put off calling you because if it didn’t work the dogs probably had to go!! I had been to obedience class with my oldest dog Tanner and he graduated top of the class. He was perfect in class but when we got home he turned into a nightmare again. I also tried choke chains, prong collars and no pull harnesses… none worked and I felt horrible using them.

Then you arrived on my doorstep and changed our lives. Within the first 10 minutes the dogs had their collars on they were healing loose leash and staying while one of your dogs ran in front of them… I was amazed and even had a tear of relief in my eye.

It has now been 9 months since we started training and we have been doing great. We have had a few bumps along the way but each time I would e-mail you and most times within minutes you replied with a new idea for me to try or corrected what I was doing wrong. That to me is the best part. You are always there with ideas, support and help. The dogs and I love going to group class, it is so much fun!!

Now in the morning when I get the collars out both dogs are sitting at my feet with tails wagging. For anyone that thinks the collars are cruel, my dogs now get to go places they never could before, walk without coughing and gagging from pulling, enjoy having company instead of wanting to eat them, play outside off leash and get lots of exercise and are SO loved!! When we are put walking people constantly comment on what good dogs I have.

Duke, we are SO lucky to have you living in P.E.I. I have total faith in you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. To anyone thinking of training with Duke…. DO IT you won’t regret it!!!

Just wanted to let you know how happy we’ve been with the training and the progress we have seen from Mika. Mika’s always been very well behaved, but the Shiba Inu breed has a strong instinct to chase everything (balls, squirrels, leaves, etc). For this reason, our breeder warned us beforehand that Mika would always be a leash dog. However, thanks to your e-collar training and after a few classes over a couple of weeks, we’re having a great time walking and playing outside without a leash. It’s great to expand her freedom while having the comfort that we can get her attention when needed. Also, your classes offer a lot of great practical tips and your love of dogs really shows through. Thanks for everything.
